Leopard Guides: Graphics & Imaging
QuickTime provides relatively high-level graphics support through a number of technologies. QuickTime can import, export, compress, and decompress most major image and video formats quickly and efficiently. Developers can use QuickTime Virtual Reality (QTVR) to turn photos and computer renderings into interactive 3D worlds. Transport and delivery mechanisms support opening and storing visual media on discs, in memory, and over the Internet, and support sending video to devices other than displays. QuickTime also supports visual rendering to outputs such as DV, Quartz, and OpenGL.
