Importing Non-PICT Files Into Apple Media Tool

The Apple Media Tool and Apple Media Tool Programming Environment products have been discontinued. For more information check out: AMT/PE Discontinued.

Q: We received and tried the Apple Media Kit demo last week. While experimenting with it, we had trouble importing files from SuperCard unless we converted them to PICT files, and only PICT files could be added when searching through directories outside AMK.

A: Apple Media Tool accepts graphics in PICT format only, and it only displays PICT files when you add graphics to your project. The problem you had with SuperCard could be due to a proprietary way of formatting exported PICT files (it may be as simple as a file-type change).
