Powered Off Devices Connected to the SCSI Bus

Q: Can a device that is powered off remain connected to the SCSI bus?

A: The SCSI specification does not define how a device should behave while powered off. You should not to have powered-off devices on the bus, since this can cause performance and signal degradation.
