Light Color

Q: Sometimes the color fo the light does not seem to affect the color of the objects in my model. What gives?

A: This is a problem with textures only, i.e., it is not a problem with RGB colors. The Apple QuickDraw 3D Acceleration Card does not use light color when calculating the colors of textures. Apple is aware of this limitation, and plans to fix it.

One kludge to workaround the problem is to set the Specular Highlight attribute of the model to the color of the light you want reflected.

This will not work so well when there are several lights and several light colors; there is currently no workaround for that case.
