The Backfacing Option

Q: Does QuickDraw 3D have an option or backfacing style which flips the faces' surface normals when I'm on the inside of my model?

A: No. Your app has to detect whether your camera location is on the inside or outside of a geometry. When your camera is inside your geometry, set the geometry's backfacingStyle to kQ3BackfacingStyleFlip (assuming your surface normals face outwards).
