Tear-off Menus

Q: Where can I find documentation describing the official way to implement tear-off menus in my Macintosh application?

A: You can use MacApp or follow the article in MacTutor, "Tear-off Menus & Floating Palettes", in volume 4 on page 112.

The best approach is to use MacApp. The second approach, described in MacTutor, is not supported by Apple, though developers used this method to implement tear-off menus on their own before MacApp 3.0.
