Leopard Release Notes: Mac OS X Server
Mac OS X Server supports the major networking standards, protocols, and services, including IPv6, IPSec, SSL and SSH2, LDAPv3, PHP, Tomcat, MySQL, Java 2, and WebDAV. Developers can gain access to this support through sockets and Core Foundation, as well as through the higher-level Carbon and Cocoa APIs. Server administrators use the graphical Server Admin application to set up and manage such network services as DHCP, DNS, firewall, NAT, VPN, and IP Failover. Administrators can use Gateway Setup Assistant to automate the configuration of a simple gateway between a local network and the Internet.
