Description

NoSound is a source code sample that illustrates how to install a shutdown procedure that will be executed when the user chooses restart or shutdown from the special menu. In this sample, the intent is to provide an automated facility that will turn off the startup chime by adjusting the sound volume before the computer shuts down. The NoSound application should be placed in the Startup Items folder so it can restore the sound volume after the startup sound has been played.
