The current offering in the quicktime.app.ui packages is minimal. More feedback is needed on the kinds of capabilities that would be useful for the framework to provide. The design philosophy of QuickTime for Java is to provide as much as possible with a well-factored and high-granularity object definition. This makes both the customization of different aspects of a process easier, as well as exposing the transparency of the process.
