Inside Macintosh: Cyberdog Programmer's Kit / Part 3 - Cyberdog Reference
Chapter 7 - Classes and Methods / CyberService

OwnsURL

Tests whether this Cyberdog service can create a Cyberdog item for the specified URL.

ODBoolean OwnsURL (in char* url);
url
A pointer to a string that contains the URL for this operation.
return value
kODTrue if the service can create a Cyberdog item from the URL; otherwise, kODFalse.
DISCUSSION
This method should parse the specified URL and returns kODTrue if this service supports the URL scheme and can manufacture a Cyberdog item from the URL. The superclass implementation returns kODFalse.

If you subclass CyberService and override this method, your override must not call its inherited method; that is, your override method must implement this method's functionality completely.
