Manipulating the Format of Option Information
You use the Open Transport utility functions described in this section to construct a buffer from a string describing option values or to create a string from a buffer containing option values. You do not have to create an endpoint to use Open Transport utility functions, but you do have to initialize Open Transport as described in "Getting Started With Open Transport".
