Leopard Reference Library: Apple Applications
Mail, the default email client for Mac OS X, builds on a foundation of the standard mbox mail format to provide full HTML mail rendering, thread-based message management, sophisticated S/MIME encryption and digital signatures, and powerful junk mail processing. Cocoa developers can take advantage of the Message Framework, an Objective-C API for sending email messages through Mail.app.
