Leopard Reference Library: Java
The Mac OS X implementation of Java includes the standard Java packages--such as java.Security and Java.Security.Cert--that provide authorization, authentication, and cryptographic services. Developers can use these packages to build security into their applications and to transport data securely over a network. Many of these services are implemented using the native Mac OS X Security framework for faster performance and better integration with the operating system.
