Apple hardware and software products can support cluster and grid computing. The Mac OS X Server platform, in particular, offers the file services, network services, and system configuration capabilities necessary for high-performance computing tasks. The performance of these services and capabilities can be measured, evaluated, and optimized using Apple's developer tools, technologies, and programming interfaces.
