Java

Java is closely integrated with Apple's graphics technologies and developer tools. Whenever possible, Java leverages Quartz and Quartz Extreme, and offers free performance enhancements without any platform-specific code. On systems with Java 1.4 or later installed, developers can also use Java Advanced Imaging and Java3D, the industry-standard image manipulation libraries.
