DescriptionThis sample shows various types of compression applied to a texturemapped triangle. QD3D 1.6 introduces the TQ3CompressedPixmap texture type. This texture type works just like the Pixmap and Mipmap types except that the texture pixel data is compressed with QuickTime. This new texture was designed to be easy to use, and it gives the user the flexibility of supplying their own QuickTime compressed image data or if they desire, QD3D will do the compression for them.
