Main RAM Expansion Modules

For expansion of main RAM, the iMac family computers use 168-pin DIMMs that contain SDRAM devices and are PC-100 compliant. For more information, see RAM Expansion Modules.

IMPORTANT

The 168-pin DIMMs used in the iMac family of computers are not the same as the 144-pin SO-DIMMs used in earlier iMac models.
