About This Developer Note

This developer note gives a technical description of the all-new iMac family of computers, including the changes that have been made since the introduction of the original iMac in the summer of 1998.

This developer note is intended to help hardware and software developers design products that are compatible with the products described here. If you are not already familiar with Macintosh computers or if you would simply like additional technical information, you may wish to read the section "Supplemental Reference Documents".

This note is published only in electronic form, as an Adobe Acrobat PDF (portable document file) and in HTML for browsers that support frame sets. The file is available from two sources:
