New Features
Here is a list of the features that are new to the Power Mac G4 computer.

Microprocessor clock speed: The microprocessor clock frequency is either 466, 533, 667, or 733 MHz. For more information, see PowerPC G4 Microprocessor.

Memory caches: The G4 microprocessor used in the 667 and 733 MHz configurations has an internal 256 KB level 2 cache and an external 1 MB level 3 cache. The G4 in the 466 and 533 MHz configurations has an external 1 MB level 2 cache. For more information, see Cache Memory.

Bus clock speed:
The system bus and the memory bus have a clock frequency of 133 MHz. For more information, see Processor Bus and Main Memory Bus.

PCI card expansion slots:
The Power Mac G4 computer has four expansion slots for PCI cards. For more information, see PCI Expansion Slots.

Optical drive:
The computer comes with a built-in optical media drive, either CD-RW or DVD-R/CD-RW. A DVD-ROM drive is also available. For more information, CD-RW Drive and DVD-R/CD-RW Drive.

Zip drive:
All configurations can accept an optional 250 MB ATAPI Zip drive. For more information, see Optional Zip Drive.

Graphics card:
The graphics card in the AGP-4x slot provides uses an ATI RAGE 128 Pro or NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics controller. For more information, see Graphics Card.

Sound:
The computer has a built-in speaker, a headphone output jack, and an Apple speaker mini-jack. For more information, see Sound System.
