Expansion ROM Contents
The
expansion ROM on a PCI card for Macintosh computers must conform to the format and information content defined in Chapter 6 of the PCI specification. The following notes apply to the required device identification fields when used with Macintosh computers:

The
vendor ID must be the identification assigned by the PCI Special Interest Group.

The device and revision IDs must be assigned by the vendor and need not be registered with Apple.

The
header type and
class codes must conform to those specified in the
PCI Local Bus Specification,
Revision 2.0.
