Apple supports several kinds of migration. Users of versions 10.2 and 10.3 Mac OS X Server can perform an upgrade installation to version 10.4 to reuse data and settings on the same server hardware. Users of versions 10.3, 10.2, 10.1, and 1.2 as well as ASIP 6.3.3 can migrate data and settings to a computer with version 10.4 installed. Users of Windows NT servers in small workgroups can migrate to Mac OS X Server; the server reuses Windows user and group records, and provides home directories and roaming user profiles, SMB/CIFS file sharing, and print support for Windows users.
